Biography

With an MsC in Computer and IT Engineering by “Instituto Superior Técnico” (2000) and a master in Enterprise Management by “Instituto para o Desenvolvimento em Gestão Empresarial do Instituto Superior das Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa” (2003), holds also certifications in Project Management by the International Project Management Association (level D, 2010) and according to PM@Siemens (Project Manager, 2011 and Senior Project Manager, 2016). Is also fully entitled member of the Portuguese Order of Engineers.

Currently and since October 2014 is heading the Business Segment within Siemens Portugal that deals with the solutions for Road Mobility – Intelligent Traffic Systems. From Alfragide, the team addresses the markets of Portugal, Angola and Mozambique and holds as key customers several Portuguese cities (Lisbon, Oporto, Vilamoura) and Angola (Luanda and Malanje). Is simultaneously City Account Manager of Siemens for the city of Lisbon, establishing the point of contact between city’s stakeholders and the company. Currently is also the Head of Sales of the Mobility Division, coordinating sales activities for the whole Mobility related portfolio – Road, Rail and Others.

Between November 2013 and September 2014 has been in charge by the Project Management activities in the Center of Competence for eTicketing, established in Siemens Portugal with a global business mandate. During this period, was also the representative of Siemens, together with a counterpart from the key costumer CP – Comboios de Portugal, in the taskforce that manages the intermodal transportation system in Lisbon (OTLIS – Operadores de Transporte de Lisboa).

Between October 2009 and October 2013 was project manager for several projects in the Mobility Division of Siemens, starting in the field of rail signaling (Rail Automation) and joining later the center of competence of eTicketing for Public Transportation (eTicketing CoC), a team with a global business mandate for the development of ticketing systems, established in Alfragide and for the creation of which had an active role.

Before Siemens:

Between 2006 and 2009 had the role of Business Area Manager at Tecmic – Tecnologias de Microlectrónica, managing the business areas of Public Transportation and Utilities, acting both in the Portuguese and South American markets, coordinating teams in Oeiras and São Paulo (Brazil). Managed customers likes CARRIS and Horários do Funchal, having participated by invitation of ANTRAM in the Volante XXI project, which ensured the transposition into the portuguese law of the European Directive that regulates the activity of professional truck driver for freight and passengers.

Between 1997 and 2006 performed several roles in the scope of IT infrastructures at IsiNet – Serviços Informáticos (former Hitec Sistemas, rebranded in 1999); these roles comprised Technical, Quality, Sales and Management related acivities, reaching at a later stage the position of Partner and share holder of the Company.
