A new Demo experience

4th Smart City 360° Summit (November 21-23, 2018 in Guimaraes, Portugal) is a place for sharing hands-on experiences and fostering discussion of innovative smart technologies and approaches. We welcome prototypes, devices, and systems related to all areas of interest for Smart City 360° Summit 2018.

All Demos get the opportunity to make a free additional submission to the EAI360 platform – EAI’s online Innovation Workbench.

EAI360 will open a whole new world of possibilities to you and your colleagues, teaching you how to transform your research project into a business idea in 5 tutorial stages. Lessons include building a team, doing market research, IP protection, putting together a business plan, and presenting in front of a live audience the right way.

Standard Submission

In order to be considered for the Smart City 360° Summit 2018, Demos need to be submitted via Confy as PDF files, not exceeding 2 pages in length including references in the Springer LNICST format.

Submission deadline: September 30th, 2018

Demo papers should describe the technology that will be showcased as well as the reasoning behind it. You may find the full list of topics in the Topics section below.

Taking your Demo through the Innovation Workbench with EAI360 first will help you design and build a more complete and compelling Demo, increasing your chances of acceptance.

Submit Demo


Submissions will be evaluated and selected based on their quality, originality, and significance to the areas of interest for Smart City 360° Summit 2018. Submissions outside of the Summit’s Scope should justify their relevance to the main area of interest.


Accepted Demos will be showcased at the venue open to the Summit participants. Authors will need to be available for installation, and for facilitating interaction with their work at scheduled times during the Summit.


At least one author of an accepted Demo must register and present the demo at the Summit venue.  Specific requirements will be arranged with presenters of accepted demos, however, demos should be self-supporting as the organizers will only be able to provide space, electricity and an internet connection.
