Alina Koskela

Ms Koskela (Ms.Soc.Sci. University of Helsinki) has been working for the Finnish Transport Agency
(FTA) since year 2014. She is currently based in the Mobility Management and ITS unit and is in
charge of the project Aurora, where an Arctic Intelligent Transport Test Ecosystem is being built in
the Finnish Lapland. The project focuses on facilitating and enabling connected and automated
driving development and cross-border testing in all weather conditions. Koskela is tightly involved
in ”learning by doing” process of the FTA and is committed to promoting new digital and intelligent
solutions in all transport modes. She has a cross-sectoral experience from the public sector with
focus in international initiatives and cross-border projects particularly in road transport sector.
Previously Koskela has also worked in Brussels as the Finnish national expert in the Conference of
the European Directors of Roads CEDR.
