INNOVATION CYCLE – 1. Idea Evaluation & Dissemination
Adding to the idea evaluation tools that have filled the public domain, the panellists in this session will examine the key success factors and best practices for Smart City-oriented ventures. They will take a close look at Lean Startup Methodology to define an agile entrepreneur, and outline what kind of ecosystem helps in swift idea evaluation and risk mitigation.
The Dissemination part of the session will review experiences and good practices in promoting research and innovative products and services. The panel will be joined by practitioners sharing their experiences of reaching out to large communities of potential partners and users. Additionally, they will share the lessons learned in motivating and engaging online communities in crowdsourcing activities. And finally, the panel will conclude what message could be extended to the wide public, as well as to European policy makers to encourage innovation.
